[cisco-voip] How to reset a 7940

The first one has worked for me in the past. Good luck ;)

Power off phone. Press and hold # while powering on, release when LEDs start flashing.
Then press in sequence 123456789*0#

There is another sequence you can try:
3491672850*#

At this point the phone will totally reset, on reboot will look for DHCP/ TFTP to download term41.default.loads, plus the individual firmware files making the load.

Make sure that these conditions are met, and your phones should come back to life.

How do I reset a 7940 to factory default?? It's not the same procedure as on 7941/61 because there's no LED in the Line-button!
