[cisco-voip] Toll Bypass

Best bet is to open a phone book and determine what the local area codes
are and prefixes are. Having set this up several times in the past,
it is definitely an administrative nightmare though as you have to keep
up with new prefixes and manage all the route patterns or route filters.
North Carolina I remember is a big pain as you can have different local
telcos within 10 miles of each other and some 10 digit calls can have
toll charges.

Thanks!

Subject: [cisco-voip] Toll Bypass

Hello listers,

If I am setting up Toll Bypass, how can I easily determine which
prefixes are not long distance from my calling area? It seems that if I
incorrectly pass the "1" to the Telco, I'll get a recording that the
number isn't long distance and that I need to re-dial it.

I wish the Telco would just pass the number and drop the 1 without
telling me...

Regards,

Corbett.
