[cisco-voip] SRST Newbie Question

On the callmanager side simply build your SRST reference (the SRST ref
has to match the IP source address in the IOS SRST config), apply it
to the appropriate Device Pool, which you in turn apply to the
phone(s). Be sure you reset the phone after applying this, so it
receives the srst config. (if the phone hasn't received the SRST
reference from callmanager, even if srst is configured properly on the
gateway it will not work.)

Next, make sure the gateway is running a version of IOS that supports
whatever model(s) of phones you are using. (I believe something around
the 12.4(15)T3 and newer range supports the latest 7945/65 models of
phones - but check to make sure).

Lastly, configure SRST on the router. Here is an example config of a
gateway with an MGCP PRI that is configured for SRST if connectivity
to the CM is lost:

!
dial-peer voice 100 pots
 application mgcpapp
 destination-pattern 9T
 incoming called-number .
 direct-inward-dial
 port 0/0/0:23
!
dial-peer voice 10911 pots
 application mgcpapp
 destination-pattern 911
 port 0/0/0:23
 forward-digits all
!
!
call-manager-fallback
 secondary-dialtone 9
 max-conferences 4
 timeouts busy 30
 timeouts interdigit 8
 ip source-address 172.16.2.1 port 2000
 max-ephones 30
 max-dn 48
system message primary SRST MODE. Features Limited
 system message secondary SRST MODE
 keepalive 20
!
