If you are looking for an AUC certification, they need to be running
on MCS servers, or at least you need to have MCS servers around.

We bought a bunch of DL380 G3s and built them out on those, no
problems, got CCM 6.1.2, IPCC 5.0, MPX 2.0. and CUC 2.1

IPCC 5.0 is NOT compatible with CCM 4.1; nor is there a method to
install it on VMWare

MPX will NOT install on VMWare

For AUC you also need 2 VTA and four phones.
