No you must use the Cisco version of SQL Server 2000. It has scripts and other items that must run.

I tried providing my own SQL 2000 meida once with UCCX 5x and it didn't work.

Subject: [cisco-voip] UCCX possible with normal MS SQL 2000

I'm about to install UCCX7 with high availability (HA) on two servers at customer site. As originally there was no HA planned, the software sent to the customer by Cisco is now missing MS SQL 2000.
Does anybody know if it is possible to install and use "normal" MS SQL 2000 with UCCX?

Thanks,
Reinhold
