Hi Joe,

Yes if yo hare running CUCM Version 8.0 or greater as part of the Security by Default functionality introduced in that version most Cisco IP Phones (including the 8961’s) support HTTPS connections to/from the phone.

So yes the Extension Mobility PIN will be sent via an encrypted channel by ensuring a HTTPS URL is specified.

Thanks

Stephen

Client is trying to determine if the PIN is sent encrypted or in clear text across the network when a user logs in?

Thanks

Joe
