What happens when you nail a loop pvc on the device. Do you see errors there as
well.
Have you tried another fiber to the box?

Got a problem. Here's setup:
GSR(oc3 int on a 8 port oc3 LC)-----sonet equip------(oc3 PA in a
VIP4/80)7500
Interface showed up/up, pos atm-scramble enabled and the c2 bits are matched
on both ends. enc, crc and MTU are matched as well. Could see cdp neighbor.
However, saw large amount error and won't be able to ping across. The
linecard and PA has been proved in working condition.(by seating in an other
slot). Is this a backplane problem?
