Hi all,

I am using LocalDirector 416 version 4.1.2 from Cisco.
                                                                                                                                 10.0.0.10
                                    .................................
                                    . .
                                    . 20.0.0.1 .
+----------+ +---------+ . +----------------------+ .
| client n |---------| |--------| Server for n clients | .
+----------+ |Local | . +----------------------+ .
                     |Director | . .
                     | | . +------------------------+ .
+------------+ | |--------| Server for n+1 clients | .
| client n+1 |-------| | . +------------------------+ .
+------------+ +---------+ . 20.0.0.2 .
                                    . .
                                    .................................

I want the local director to send traffic to the server 20.0.0.2 only and only if the server 20.0.0.1 has n connections.

So in order to do that I planed to configure the local director this way:

        enable
        conf t
        virtual 10.0.0.10:21:0:TCP is
        real 20.0.0.1:21:0:TCP is
        real 20.0.0.2:21:0:TCP is
        bind 10.0.0.10:21:0:TCP 20.0.0.1:21:0:TCP 20.0.0.2:21:0:TCP
        predictor 10.0.0.10:21:0:tcp loaded roundrobin
        weight 20.0.0.1:21:0:tcp <n>

But, by doing this I don't see if the local director will all the time check the amount of connections on the server 20.0.0.1 before directing any connection to the next server.

Could someone advise me about this please ?

Thank you.

Regards,

Christophe
