Hi Deepak,
puzzling, here's _my_ RSP4 running 11.1(24)CC (JV image) without
(sucking) dCEF and without full BGP table (~17000 routes):
Router-A:
Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 60E95D70 118923920 23858844 95065076 93769856 93583800
Fast 60E75D70 131072 125944 5128 5128 5100
FASTmemorywise it's looking like a twin of yours !? Besides VIP/PAs it
has two legacy FSIP8 boards to handle.
And here's another RSP4 running 12.0(4.0.4)S1 without (still sucking)
dCEF and with full BGP table:
Router-B:
Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 60EDCD20 118633184 58186368 60446816 56994824 58101752
Fast 60EBCD20 131072 130136 936 936 892
Oooops !?!?
And another one running 12.0(4.0.4)S1 with dCEF (selectively disabled on
any interface where it starts to suck) and full BGP table:
Router-C:
Head Total(b) Used(b) Free(b) Lowest(b) Largest(b)
Processor 60EDCD20 118633184 58412908 60220276 48357824 58034140
Fast 60EBCD20 131072 101688 29384 29384 29340
Anyway, I'm doubting that _FAST_ memory is influenced by dCEF, but I
have no explanation for the significant difference between the last
two (B and C). Both have just VIP/PA interfaces and no "legacy" stuff
inside. Main difference between B and C: B holds a PA-POS (on a
VIP2-50)
Regards
CP
