Define "switch". Not on the Cisco L2 switches (3500XL etc) I know, but
it seems the new 2950 series changes that.

Possible on several L3 switches (2948G-L3, 3550-12T, 6000 with PFC/MSFC).

Note that Cat6000 can only do policing on input. I'm using a 2948G-L3
myself to do rate limiting (input and output) for several clients - it
seems to work relatively well.
