Hi friends,
I am receiving some packets with destination of 255.255.255.255 ( port
22, 21, 80....more ) on my serial port connected to my upstream
provider, I am denying them on my router and only allowing destination
with 192.168.1.0 (my network).
But I am woundering that why this Broadcast packets crossing my
upstream providers router. How to stop them. Does " no ip directed
broadcast " work to stop them crossing router at my upstream providers
or they have to use ACLS to stop them crossing routers.
(router log)
Apr 2 15:06:40 192.168.2.1 81256: 7w0d: %SEC-6-IPACCESSLOGP: list 100
denied tcp 202.164.175.42(2686) (Serial0/2 *PPP*) ->
255.255.255.255(80), 1 packet
Thanks
