Syntax checker for Cisco config files

Before I wander off and reinvent the wheel again, is there a standalone
program/script in existence (seperate from the router itself) that will
parse an existing cisco confg file, and give a yay or nay as regards the
correctness of its syntax ?

Google unfortunately is failing to come through in searching for such a
beastie, and I cannot imagine the thing not being already implemented.
