_All_ new hardware is supported for the first time in some 12.0(x)X.. image.
Then this support is integrated to 12.0(x+1)T images and subsequent 'T' images.
ANd then this support will be integrated in 12.1(...) mainline images.

So, you have no chances to use mainline image with this brand-new NPE
until 12.1 release.
