Hi Cisco Gurus,

I'm busy with the replacement of a C2501 by a C2610 with a 4 Serial in Slot1.

Cisco is connected to a 7206. I just replaced the C2501 with the C2610
and plugged the same cables etc... (both router have the same IP, routes, ...)

Problem: The line is up but the protocol is going up/down every mins.
I also get a very high numbers of errors! Any idea?

On the 7206:

Serial4/0 is up, line protocol is up
  Hardware is M4T
Interface is unnumbered. Using address of FastEthernet0/0 (a.b.c.d)
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 512 Kbit, DLY 20000 usec, rely 185/255, load 1/255
Encapsulation HDLC, loopback not set, keepalive set (10 sec)
Last input 00:00:04, output 00:00:00, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 00:39:11
Input queue: 0/75/0 (size/max/drops); Total output drops: 0
  Queueing strategy: weighted fair
  Output queue: 0/64/0 (size/threshold/drops)

     Reserved Conversations 0/0 (allocated/max allocated)

On the 2610:
