the important thing to note is that cef has to be available on the box (no
2500s) and turned on. for quite some time you could turn on the reverse
path option on a 2500 and it would just break all traffic since the cef
database it uses wasn't availble. supposedly this has been fixed in later
revs, but i haven't verified it.
