[nsp] CAR question:

Why does CAR behave like this? Notice the burst speed is zero, and the
"limit" speed is actually larger or approximately equal to the conformed
plus the exceeded traffic rates.

FastEthernet0/0/0
  Input
    matches: access-group 177
params: 1000000 bps, 1500 limit, 2000 extended limit
conformed 47969 packets, 31594424 bytes; action: transmit
exceeded 20190 packets, 20160120 bytes; action: drop
last packet: 20ms ago, current burst: 0 bytes
last cleared 00:07:19 ago, conformed 574000 bps, exceeded 366000 bps
    matches: access-group 178
params: 18000000 bps, 9000 limit, 9000 extended limit
conformed 231372 packets, 167252473 bytes; action: transmit
exceeded 18477 packets, 19072689 bytes; action: drop
last packet: 1ms ago, current burst: 0 bytes
last cleared 00:01:53 ago, conformed 11758000 bps, exceeded 1340000
bps

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks,

Deepak
