I still take a single full view on a 64mb box. Depends on how many
IGP routes you have and how lean the codebase you have loaded on your
router is. Of course, a single full view is useful mostly as a
curiousity...

The router in question is a 7010 with an RP-64 running 11.1(CA) "p"
load (ie, just IP). There is very little room to spare.

Seems that the RIB takes up about 18-20mb on another router -- also a
7010, this one with an rsp7k running 12.0(10)S, a "J" load (kitchen
sink). This can double for brief periods of time when the router is
doing RIB->FIB distillation

The hack with limiting prefix length ought to work OK on your 4700;
I'd be worried about the sheer overhead of update processing on a 2500
(depending on amount of flap you're seeing, natch).
