[nsp] CAR on tunnel interfaces

Hi:
Anybody have any experience with running CAR on (MPLS) tunnel
interfaces? Attempted some CAR commands to police an MPLS tunnel
interface. The router took the commands, but the results don't
make much sense. Identical commands give expected results on physical
interfaces on the same router...

In case it's relevant, the box is a 3620, IOS 12.1.3a(T) and the
interfaces are Ethernet.
