Hi Folks

We are using the DWFQ mechanism on a 7500 with IOS 12.0(5)T1.
About 50 mbps of traffic (equal parts of precedence value 1 and 2) is
being fed into 2 Fastethernet ports each (Total over 100 mbps). The
UDP traffic source is Smartbits with pkt sz 1000 bytes. The
output is a DS3 port (encap PPP) with VIP2 controller. The DWFQ at the
DS3 looks like this....

beavis#sh int ser5/1/0 fair
 Serial5/1/0 queue size 0
packets output 2015381, wfq drops 2397897, nobuffer drops 0
WFQ: aggregate queue limit 502, individual queue limit 252
      max available buffers 1882

     Class 0: weight 1 limit 252 qsize 0 packets output 114 drops 0
     Class 1: weight 10 limit 252 qsize 0 packets output 1007636 drops 1198858
     Class 2: weight 88 limit 252 qsize 0 packets output 1007631 drops 1199039
     Class 3: weight 1 limit 252 qsize 0 packets output 0 drops 0

As you can see, the number of drops for both traffic classes remains
approximately equal regardless of the weights for each class. I would
think drops would be in proportion to weights. We also check the rate
for each class at the other end of the DS3, and both classes seem to
share the link b/w equally.
We have tried different combinations of weights and queue limits,
doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any clues on what we may be doing wrong ?
If this is not a good place, Where should I ask the question ?

Thanks a bunch.
Rajesh.

ps: I am not sure I am on this list any more since I haven't seen
traffic for a while. So a direct reply to me would be appreciated. I
shall summarize responses and forward to the list.
