Generally if something is supported in an earlier relase, then it stays
supported, the exception is if it's in a release targetted at special
hardware or features (like voice), then it may not get folded back into
the main release train(s) until much later. Generally if you're already
in "T" territory moving the the newest avilable will fix more bugs than
it will expose, but it's still pretty much a crap shoot.

For software stuff your freiend is the IOS feature navigator:

but for hardware, you still have to review the support matrices
and release notes.
