Its $1500 an end for a Fastethernet to DS3 clear channel device. We should
be able to pass 802.1q tagging over it since its just basically a bridge.
Certainly can't beat the price! We'll see how it works. Its just a 4 month
solution, so hopefully it will last that long.
Tiara's box looks like it does the same, but is about $10k per end.

Look at tiaranetworks.com. You want the unchannelized version of their
DS3 box.
I probably need a disclaimer here: Tiara Networks has not yet provided
me with the obligatory T-shirt. The University does not endorse vendors.
But we do think you should use as little electricity as possible, especially
if you're in California.
