Hi,
I'm looking at the docs for GTS, and it looks pretty straightforward:
-define an access list that matches the IPs/protocols you'd like to shape,
ie:
access-list 61 permit 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.14
-go to the interface you want to shape outbound traffic on and enter the
access-list number and bitrate:
(config-if)# traffic-shape group 61 100000
At this point, any traffic passing to 192.168.0.0-15 should be limited...
I've got something like this going, but watching an address just blast
away at about 500,000 bps. Both 'show traffic-shape (stats)' commands
show no activity.
Any ideas? I don't see any examples in the docs beyond "all udp" or a
rate-shape on an interface, with no access-list.
Should I only use an extended list? What would the proper order be, ie:
permit ip any x.x.x.x or permit ip x.x.x.x any? Or should I be denying?
The examples for udp show a permit...
Thanks,
Charles
