I'm not sure what you're trying to tell us.
We all said "we're not purchasing new 250x'es".
Cisco says "End of sale on select models on the Cisco 2500 series is due
to: [..] Extremely low volumes indicate diminishing demand".
I wouldn't call that "high demand".
As for the expectation to get current software for things that are still
being sold (!) - I won't call that too unreasonable. If Cisco doesn't
want to support a family any longer, then EOL it, but give people fair
warning - this is what has happened with the 7000 family, and I haven't
read (nor written) any complaints about that. Don't "sell it but do not
support it".
