Note that some IOS versions suffer from SNMP configuration persistence
issues (e.g. it will require reboot for changes you make to take effect,
this is true for 12.1(7)AA for instance).

Somebody did mention recently that Cisco SNMP working group seems to smoke
excessive amounts of crack lately, judging by SNMP code quality. :( It is
so tempting sometimes to start calling SNMP a "four-letter word".
