I don't have the original e-mail at hand, so I can't directly reply to it.
Nevertheless, I want to add a data point: I'm observing the mentioned
behaviour as well:
Jun 24 06:08:39 Cisco-M-VIII 962: %RCMD-4-RCMDDNSFAIL: DNS hostname/ip address mismatch. 195.30.X.Y unknown to DNS
This happens every second time I "rsh" onto the box - works, works not,
works, works not, ... - ditto for rcp, same behaviour.
DNS servers are exactly as on the other routers standing next to this one,
and the other routers do NOT have this problem.
IOS is 12.2(2)T, Cisco 4700, service provider feature set.
