There were some limitations on the 8510 and 8540, this may be what you
heard about. In general the number of supported EIGRP adjacencies depends
on not only the platform but the type of network deployed, e.g. I've seen
7513s with 220 active EIGRP adjacencies, but you can bet the summarization
was fierce and it was pure hub and spoke.
