[nsp] design help for server farm

Hello,

Here again asking for your opinions on my setup.
Again, i have the 6509 as my core switch and 3548s as
access switch to client's server farm.
3548 connected via GE configured as ISL trunks.
I have assigned each customer a single port on the
3548 with their own VLAN. This is for their primary
link.
Each customer would then want a "backdoor" link to
make software updates/maintenance on their servers.
Backdoor link would connect to their secondary NIC.
We will provide PCs and switchport access on the
"maintenance" room in our datacenter.
What would be the ideal design for this backdoor
network? Should the backdoor network be on a single
VLAN (using private IPs) wherein all customers are
connected or are members of this VLAN?
Anyone care to share his/her experience on this?

Thanks.
Benjie.
