ok for those of us not in the 'hood you might want to attach an explanation.
my technique is no good. :)
i haven't heard from andy in maybe 8 years. which clearly calls for a
strange response to a public post from him. one implementation detail
(deleting his address from the headers and leaving cisco-nsp) went
kinda awry.
i'll upgrade the mail machine here to something snappy enough that
emacs doesn't lag when i'm typing before i post again.
