Hello all,
I wonder if anybody can help me to the following:
We would line to connect a Cisco 7507 to an IGX-16 switch via ATM cards.
The current connection is between multiple Serial lines (Cisco side) and
IGX-FRM Cards (5 connections x 2Mbps each). We are looking for a single
connection in ATM data rates: 34 or 45 or 155 Mbps.
By the product catalogs we saw the following alternatives:
CX-AIP-E3 (Cisco side) and IGX-ALM/A and BC-UAI-1E3 (ATM UNI)
for E3 connection
In Cisco products I read:
ALM/A Features
** An aggregate throughput of 45 Mbps.
** PLCP DS-3 framing.
Q1. Does anybody knows if it is possible to use IGX-ALM/A with CX-AIP-DS3 to
reach 45 Mbps connection?
Q2. Also, does anybody knows about IGX modules that can be used with AIP
cards or PA-A1-OC3 card on a VIP2-40 on Cisco side, in order to
provide connection rates up to 155Mbps ? I haven't seen anything of
those in product catalogs.
Thanks in advance for any help.
