I want to get a multicast tunnel from Sprint but I wanted to get
opinions and pointers to doc's on doing multicast on the Juniper without
a Tunnel PIC. I understand the reason for the PIC but with such a low
users base and a tight A** local cable co. owner I cant see the need for
spending any money on a PIC for a single tunnel. I mean I had a tunnel
on a 2501 10 years ago so I cant imagine needing a PIC on a modern M5 to
make a friggin tunnel. I just want to broadcast a MC feed to the cable
users. I only need one tunnel. Will this work without a PIC? I read in
the archive someone has done it but I wanted to get second opinions.
There about to get a chanellized DS3 from UUnet. So if its possible then
im off to decide who has the better MC backbone Sprint or UUnet.
Thanks for any info!!
Chris
