Not sure which book you are refering to, but I can answer for "Interdomain
Multicast Routing," as others have asked us the same question. We tried
to focus on providing a practical guide for network designers and
operators. Accordingly, we narrowed the scope to what is truly out in
production networks today, concentrating on ISP deployments. We felt that
IPv6 mcast was outside of the pragmatic scope of what we were trying to
accomplish.
