Did you execute a "request system snapshot" prior to attempting your
rollback? This command backs up the current JUNOS software and the config
into /altroot and /altconfig, respectively. They are used for backup
situations as well as disaster recovery so both of these directories are on
located the hard drive in the event the flash fails.
