I think there are a bunch of whiners that can't figure out
how to set up a second ibgp mesh with ipv6 addresses on their
routers. There certainly are some platforms that forward v6 in sw
but that's not a lot.
Perhaps the complexity of having both a v4 and v6 address
on an interface and the ability to track/audit/maintain these is too
hard for the general population, or is percieved that way for
lack of trying?
that's my guess, it's certainly not because it doesn't work.
there are enough major and small network examples to prove it does.
