Thanks Mark. That works even for local routes that we are advertising to a peer. I am so used to Junos that this was throwing me for a loop.

For a given prefix that is being sent to a neighbour you can see RIB Out entries for each peer with
show router bgp routes <prefix> hunt
This includes the communities.

Is there a way to verify the bgp community tags (after policy) when advertising routes to a neighbor? I've looked in the command and documents but don't seem to find one. We are using 7705s.
This command only shows the prefixes being sent but does not show the BGP communities:
show router bgp neighbor 1.1.1.1 advertised-routes ipv4
