I see a couple of boxes on Ebay cheaply. Will they just work with the right software image or is there licensing needed? Specifically for VLL services over LDP. --Mark From cpublow at gmail.com Mon Jun 3 11:21:09 2019 From: cpublow at gmail.com (Craig Publow) Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2019 11:21:09 -0400 Subject: [alcatel-nsp] 7210 SAS-M In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Hi Mark Assuming the SAS-M supports VLL over LDP ( I assumne it does ) then you should only need a software image, there's no license needed from what i understand. It does and no licenses are required. -- tarko From Bryan at bryanfields.net Mon Jun 3 12:21:06 2019 From: Bryan at bryanfields.net (Bryan Fields) Date: Mon, 3 Jun 2019 12:21:06 -0400 Subject: [alcatel-nsp] 7210 SAS-M In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <9f758266-af28-f238-ef18-aff99334d08c@bryanfields.net> On 6/3/19 11:03 AM, Mark Tees wrote: > Will they just work with the right software image or is there licensing needed? > > Specifically for VLL services over LDP. Yep, it will work perfectly for that. Being a non-FP based router it does have some limits vs the 7750, but config is almost identical. Check to see what software is on it, but even the oldest code should support basic LDP VLL's. Here's a config guide: https://infoproducts.alcatel-lucent.com/cgi-bin/dbaccessfilename.cgi/3HE11479AAAHTQZZA_V1_7210%20SAS%20M%20T%20Mxp%20Sx%20S%20OS%20Services%20Guide.pdf You can find most of the docs there with out logging in too. -- Bryan Fields 727-409-1194 - Voice http://bryanfields.net From marktees at gmail.com Mon Jun 3 17:16:32 2019 From: marktees at gmail.com (Mark Tees) Date: Tue, 4 Jun 2019 07:16:32 +1000 Subject: [alcatel-nsp] 7210 SAS-M In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Well, this all sounds very positive. Potentially tracking down images to use may be the only problem. Thank you!
