8417 tubes, and HRO 60 Information.....

Hello Fellow Boatanchorists,
                                         Name here is Joe Cro (N3IBX) and I
have a Wawasee Black Cat JB-200 modulator I use on 10 meters. it has two 8417
tubes in it. I can't locate a substitute for them in any of my handbooks. They
have an octal base, and resemble a 6L6 tube. Does anyone know of a substitute
for these? Any information will be appreciated.

I also have a National HRO 60 that I would like to use a B&W sideband receive
converter as a product detector. Does anyone know of a tap or source within
the HRO I can get IF OUT to use with my converter? Any help will be
appreciated.
