Just got a bunch of military surplus tubes yesterday. There are two types
that I can only guess about. No information in my RCA receiving tube manual.
Any information would be appreciated.
One looks like it goes in a waveguide and has two 1/4" pins protruding from
one of the long sides. It is marked "CBYI 7381 (symbol for radioactive) Co60.
Should these be in a toxic waste dump somewhere instead of my garage?
The second looks like a large glass diode. 1" diameter with one round
electrode in each end. It has some kind of white powder inside. These are
marked "National Electric NL-24222".
Thanks for your attention and assistance.
James
