HQ-170 AVC "pulls" freq - update

Most likely it is an inherant design problem with that receiver. I replied
moments ago befor seing this message. If the avc voltage is applied to the
first mixer I would try removing the avc from that tube and see what
happens. I don't know what type tube is used in the mixer but if it is not
a remote cutoff or semi-remote cutoff tube the avc on that tube is most
likely not doing anything usefull anyway.

What happens is the changeing bias on the tube changes the loading to the
hf oscilator which results in the frequency shift. if it is the HFO it
should be worse on the higher bands.
