Hi Gang
At Dayton this last May, I picked up an old Tx "box" appearently made back
in the late 40s or early 50s. Mabe some of you know what this is and mabe
where to find a manual. Pa uses 811, no VFO (crystal), plug in coils, all on
top chassis; lower chassis is pwr supply & speech amp / modulator using 4
6L6 in PP par. Is this beast known as a Champ 175? The Tx appears
restorable, coils for one band are still there but tx was in a fire,
scorched the bottom of cab & smoked up the inside. Strange it didnt distroy
the coils. Underchassis is fairly good shape. The panels are still readable
but scratched up badly so I'm considering finding a new home for this fellow
or parting it out. I got to many projects now. I invite your comments.
Regards
Dee
