R-1749A/URR 66 ??

Does anyone know what an R-1749A receiver is?  Just
picked one up at a local surplus/junk store - looks
like it's a computer controlled receiver, but that's
about all I can puzzle out from its front panel.
Any idea regarding frequency range, how to make the
beastie talk to me, etc.?
