6146 blue glow

Depends on where the blue is.  Many tubes will show a faint blue glow
on the inside surface of the glass, which is normal.  I was told years
ago that it was an x-ray effect, but I don't know that for sure.
Anyway, it IS  normal and not a sign of trouble.  On the other hand,
if the blue glow is in between the working elements, the tube is gassy
and is on its way out.
