For Sale: HQ-170

Well BA fans, I never thought it would actually happen but I am here.

I have for sale an HQ-170, serial number 1859. This radio is in very good
to excellent cosmetic condition, and in perfect electrical condition. It
has had recent alignment and it works very well on all bands and modes. The
only cosmetic flaws are wear spots around the tuning knobs and some slight
wear on the front panel behind the band switch.

I have used this radio on Field Day back in 1997 and 1996 consecutively to
take first place for the CW team for my radio clubs Field Day.

I bought it back in 1995 and since then I have replaced weak tubes, out of
tolerance parts and given the radio a complete alignment. I am looking for
the best offer above $150 on this radio.

But, now that I am of college age I need the money for other things, so I
would like to sell it. I would prefer a pick up, (I am an hour north of the
San Francisco Bay Area) but if you must have it shipped I will ship it
provided that a professional shipper is paid to package it up before it is
sent off, due to my latest experience with shipping boat anchors. (An HT-37
didn't ship too well with my packing!)
