Inspector Morse

Tonight I caught an episode of Inspector Morse on the A&E cable channel.
The ending theme song has changed a bit - now it begins with a lone code
practice oscillator tapping out:
__ ___ ._. ... .  __ ___ ._. ... .  __ ___ ._. ... .
then the violins fade in joining the CPO; the song ends with the violins
(still tapping out the code) fading away leaving just the CPO continuing
to tap out the inspector's name. I don't ever recall there being a CPO.

Sure brings a smile (and a slight chill) each time I hear that theme
song mixed with the code!
