How to adjust Hammarlund Clock

I know of only two procedures to get the HQ-170 back on time:
1) unplug it until it reads correctly and plug back in, or
2) remove the cabinet to gain access to the adjusting knob, one
should turn it clockwise only as I recall.
I always wondered why most all the other HQ-series had a knob
out rear of cabinet but the plain HQ-170 did not...
