PROBLEM SOLVED!

Tnx to those who responded. It turns out that the gimick was removed from
the
set so the only  BFO injection was coming from stray coupling!

Used the 5 pf cap trick described above, realigned the BFO (it pulled
slightly with
the addition of the cap) and BOY, do I have BFO injection now!
