Hi Jacob,

Quite an interesting nostalgia trip you have started.  When fresh out of
engineering school and with a legitimate job with Rust Engineering I found
myself assigned to a project in Lemont, IL as site layout engineer for US
Steel's new rolling mill.  When not at work I was often at the Allied Radio
store on Western Avenue preparing a wish list for the time in the future
when I could actually afford to buy something.

I have before me two photos I took from street level of the building with
it's towering brick column/sign.  Most of the automobiles on the street are
early to mid fifties with the newest a '57, the year I was there.
