JA Boatanchors? Wow...

Is this making anyone else feel old?

The JA radios are starting to arrive on the BA list....seems like only
yesterday that these came across the ocean and invaded our once numerous ham
stores. The next day it also seemed that Drake, Collins, Hallicrafters, and
a slew of others folded their tents and closed down.

Actually, in the beginning they had to use special distributors - like
Spectronics east and west. Yaesu and Icom both did this kind of marketing.
They both actually allowed some labeling of their units to other companies.
Remember Tempo? I think that was the Yaesu with the Henry name on it.

I gotta' stop picking up those old CQs and QSTs at the ham fests. (grin)

73 all and enjoy.
