CE 100V mechanical troubles

Hello again,
There was one problem with my 100V, the VFO planetary gear. I scratched my
head for a couple of weeks before I understood how it possibly could have
worked once upon the time. Probably due to years of use, the reduction is
now infinite. It's two planetary gears in anti-series and the only way for
it to work is if the two have slightly different effective diameters.
In this case the outer races should have different diameters.
Any ideas how to rescue this? I'm outta ideas. ... unless there by accident
happen to be some new drives available somewhere.
In the meantime I have managed to install a 7:1 Jackson inside the metal
knob without destroying anything (other than spending an hour hunting small
balls on the floor :). Not much of a reduction but better than nothing.
Again, any idea?
Jan, SM5GNN
