I haven't recapped that particular radio, but I've done a bunch of
others, and the Sprague "Orange Drop" is a fine choice.  As you
mentioned, the black plastic caps with color bands similar to
resistors are the worst offenders.  After you remove one, connect it
to a voltmeter.  You'll see it has turned into a tiny battery and is
actually putting out a few millivolts!  Heat them up and the voltage
goes even higher.
