Opinions of NC-300

Hello again,


I have just arranged to purchase a National NC-300 for $30
plus $25 in shipping.  Reportedly works ok and is in decent
shape.  I plan to give it a complete going-thru and alignment.

Any pitfalls or other opinions of this receiver?  I always
wanted one as a teenager in 1974ish, but even then they
were spendy on the used market.  I think I got a good deal
on it at $55 total, even if it needs an alignment.

I plan to pair it with a soon-to-be-acquired DX-100 for
a really heavy CW and AM setup.  Have to beef up the
table!

Any opinions, anecdotes, warnings, etc. welcome.  Send
